"Hydroponic Growing Kit"
Description:
A simple hydroponic growing system consists of a plastic container with a
lid, cone-shaped plastic forestry tubes, growing medium, seeds, a
premeasured packet of fertilizer and instructions. Water is added to the
container and the packet of fertilizer is dissolved in the water. The
tubes are filled with growing medium and are supported by the lid of the
container such that the bottom portion of the tube is immersed in the
nutrient solution (water plus fertilizer).
Capillary action draws nutrient solution up through the growing medium.
The seeds are planted and no additional watering, fertilization, or any
other attention is needed until harvesting.
Applications
Growing lettuce and a wide variety of plants, gardening system, and an
educational tool.
Main Advantages
The growing kit is a relatively simple, low cost, self-contained system
that requires little or no attention once the initial planting has been
done.
